About Me

I'm an inventor, entrepreneur, maker, baker, go-er, do-er, move-er. I've always got some new project, hobby or interest, whether it be making sushi, building costumes, baking gluten free vegan cookies that rock, traveling the world, or just riding around on my electric skateboard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I are traveling for 6 months to New Zealand, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Peru, and Nicaragua.

We are looking to meet amazing people along the way to get to know, pass along travel tips, or come adventuring with us!

Interests

Being a Maker (designing and building amazing art, costumes, interesting products, and using incredible machines like CNC routers/mills, laser cutters, and working with metal and wood!

I surf, kitesurf, rock climb, kayak, hike, camp, practice primitive skills.

I also love to bake and make sushi, and I am an award winning dish washer in trade for a home cooked meal.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've read 43 books off of the NPR Top 100 Sci Fi Fantasy list and hoping to read them all. I'm an avid reader of all genres, but it is a particular favorite of mine.
Hyperion, Mistborn Trilogy, Anything by Robin Hobb are my tops this year.

I love movies and am not a harsh critic, I'll watch just about anything.

For music some of my favorites are Alt-J, Beatles, Led Zepplin, Metric, Pixies, Pinback, Nada Surf

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Told a jungle shaman (ayahuasquero) to put two cats in his mouth. Still laughing about that one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share anything in my bizarre lexicon of knowledge. From trading bitcoin, making things, primitive skills, to helping with technology, there is usually something I know a little or a lot about that I can share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an awesome dish washer! No really, i am. Need a website or video made? I can usually whip something up that will get anyone started. Ever wanted to learn to make a fire by rubbing two sticks together?

Did I mention I earned a million airline miles through travel hacking without paying for a single flight?

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Japan, Mexico, Peru, South Korea, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
