I formerly managed an ecommerce bicycle business. I have also worked or volunteered for many social justice and civil rights groups. Single with no kids so that's why I have the freedom to travel so much. My interests - live music, dancing, design, art, nature, hiking, travel, politics, Burning Man, urban planning, architecture, and bicycling. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing in 2018 while in Baku, Azerbaijan through an Italian traveler, who subsequently hosted me when I passed through Milan in 2019. Since then, Couchsurfing has introduced me to some of my favorite travel experiences and people.

Through Couchsurfing, I met a family in Kyrgyzstan who opened their home and since then I've helped them with their wholesale bakery business. In SE Asia, I've connected with many fellow travelers by offering them to sit on the back of my motorbike to explore places together. I made friends with a young police officer in Lombok who I now consider a little brother.

I enjoy meeting new friends and learning their life stories, especially if they are fellow travelers like me who seek adventure and human connection.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music. When I'm home in San Francisco, I will sometimes see 2-3 live concerts per week. I play guitar and ukulele badly. I don't watch much TV or movies because I'm usually out enjoying life outside my home. I know how to read...when I am wearing my glasses. ☺

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three day horse trek to visit reindeer herder families in Siberia. Whitewater rafted the Zambezi river. Hiked Annapurna circuit in Nepal. Watched my astronaut friend lift off to space from Cape Canaveral. Cycled from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Rented and traveled by tuk tuk in Sri Lanka. Circled Lombok island by motorbike. Attended World Cups in South Africa, Brazil, and Russia.

I can offer local tips about San Francisco or traveling in the USA. I especially love helping people learn how to navigate San Francisco by bicycle. I'm interested in learning about different cultures. I am always happy to share laughter.
