Hi,

I'm Danny. I'm an adult who still reads books with pictures in them. I love photography, and I like to take portraits of the people who host me for part of a long-term project I'm working on.

I'd rather have a long tombstone than an expensive one.

I'm Mexican and I grew up in Los Angeles. I study in Boston, lived in upstate New York and London for a couple months at a time.

I'm into music festivals, traveling to all places, and understanding people. Photography's my passion and I hope to become a war journalist or music photographer once I graduate college.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to set my bag down after a long day of travel and meet a stranger. Maybe crack a beer, go explore the nightlife, or just talk outside over a cigarette.

Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen is my all-time favorite movie.

Books: Anything from "Aperture," B.J Novak's "One More Thing," "The Great Gatsby," and Chuck-Fucking-Bukowski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I emailed this guy some of my photos who then gave me a press-pass to cover a music festival in Boston.

With some craftiness I was able to upgrade my pass to an all-access backstage pass where I got to photograph artists like Disclosure, SIA, and ODESZA.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you'd be able to host me, I would love to take your photo. We could talk about our travels, how we view life, and enjoy each other's company.

I'm doing a project on traveling the world for free and the people you meet along the way. I'm not sure what the final point will be, but most of the photos I'm taking aim to show that no matter where you're from, your upbringing, and culture, we're all humans willing to help each other and share personal moments together.
