About Me

My name is Daniel Vincent Nyamai, and I have had the privilege of pursuing my education and building a career in the fields of technology, education, and leadership. During my time at St. Charles Lwanga High School from 2007 to 2010, I laid the foundation for my academic journey. I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Meru University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2016. Recognizing the importance of education, I furthered my studies and completed a Master of Arts in Education (Innovation in Learning and Teaching) at the University of South Wales in October 2020.

Throughout my professional journey, I have gained valuable experience in the realm of information and communication technology (ICT). From July 2016 to January 2019, I worked as an ICT Assistant at Modern Coast Courier Express, where I honed my technical skills and contributed to the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure. As a student advisor with UNICAF from January 2019 to December 2019, I had the opportunity to guide and support students on their academic paths, helping them navigate the challenges and achieve their goals. I then transitioned to the field of education, where I served as an ICT Lecturer and the Head of the ICT Department at Excel Global College from January 2020 to August 2022. In this position, I not only shared my knowledge with students but also assumed leadership responsibilities, overseeing departmental operations and fostering a conducive learning environment.

Currently, I am the ICT and Digital Skills Training Officer at SOS Children's Villages International, a role I have held since August 2022. I am passionate about empowering individuals with digital skills and contributing to the organization's mission of providing quality education and support to vulnerable children and young people. With my combined expertise in technology, education, and leadership, I am committed to making a positive impact in the professional sphere. My dedication to excellence, adaptability, and continuous learning drives me to excel in any environment I find myself in.

In addition to my professional endeavours, I am deeply committed to serving God and engaging in activities that reflect my faith and values. I actively support my local Anglican Church, where I find spiritual nourishment, fellowship, and opportunities to serve the community. Volunteering in my local Kitui County, Kenya community brings me immense joy as I contribute to initiatives that uplift and empower others.

Reading the Bible is a cherished part of my daily routine, as it provides guidance, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of God's word. I find great fulfilment in sharing the teachings and principles of the Bible with my family, fostering a spiritual foundation that strengthens our bond and encourages us to live according to God's will. Beyond my immediate circle, I am passionate about encouraging and uplifting others in their faith journeys. Whether through mentoring, leading small groups or simply offering a listening ear, I strive to inspire and support individuals in their walk with God. It is my heartfelt desire to be a beacon of hope, spreading God's love and serving as a positive influence in the lives of those around me.

Through my professional endeavours and my commitment to serving God, I aspire to make a meaningful impact in both the professional and spiritual realms. By integrating my faith with my skills and experiences, I seek to bring about positive change and contribute to the betterment of individuals, communities, and society as a whole.

Thank you.
