About Me

Hey there! What's up?

Okay, first thing - some quick Me bullet point notes:
- First generation American from a Russian Jewish family
- Went to Uni in Montreal (McGill), studied Math & English Lit (bizarre combo - I know)
- Have also lived in New York, Boston, and Tel Aviv
- Currently working freelance as a copywriter and traveling through the summer
- Can make a mean french toast
- My favorite color is lilac purple; my favorite food flavor is basil pesto; my favorite smell is that of a campfire
- My favorite travel experience is the next one

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm actually not really sure!

I think... I've gotten a little tired of some of the more superficial interactions you inevitably recycle through at a hostel. That's not to say I haven't met some lovely people! But I guess I'd love to get to know some people beyond that surface level.

But also - I want to push myself to do something new. Something slightly uncomfortable. Something a little more out there. And I feel like there's a whole community of amazing, welcoming couchsurfers out there that I've been completely missing out on!

... And honestly... I'd just love to share some stories and have some laughs. What more can you ask for?

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything from Tom Petty to Portugal the Man to Atmosphere to Beirut to The Dirty Heads

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In terms of unique travel experiences, spending a week WWOOFing 5 hours outside Tokyo in a small rural rice-farming valley town would probably do it.
