I'm a Fulbright Scholar spending the year in Australia, where I'll be working on a book of creative nonfiction about climate change. When I'm not reading or writing, I love to rock climb, cook with friends, and take nice long walks (not always along the beach, sometimes just around the block).

I ran a campaign to successfully close New York's last remaining coal plants, compensate the workers, and transition to renewable energy.

I'm a pretty good cook, especially when it comes to Japanese soul food. So if you want to learn how to make okonomiyaki, I'm your guy.

I was also captain of the wrestling team in high school (a lifetime ago!) so if you've ever wanted to learn a basic fireman's carry, I can help you out with that too.
