Hey! I'm Dan, a 20 year-old English guy who has been lucky enough to study at San Francisco State University for the last year and is looking forward to my big Amtrak journey through America from 12-26th June! I start my travels at The Big Apple, stop off at Philly, DC, Chicago, Omaha, Denver, Salt Lake City and finally back in Fog City itself!

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new friends who can tell me the coolest places to go in the city and give me a local's perspective and tell me about the places that aren't on the tourist spectrum!

As I've said film is my life, I love nothing better than to sit on the couch or at the cinema and watch a good film! I really enjoy exploring new places too and the opportunity to travel the length of America was too good to miss!

Music, Movies, and Books

Massive movie buff, love Tarantino and Scorsese among others. I study Literature so I read a fair bit too. Really like Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Fleet Foxes and classics like The Smiths, Queen and ELO!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went Skydiving in England, the most adrenaline and fear I've experienced in my lifetime!

As well as giving an insight into the culture of England I know very basic German so if you wanted to know the basics (and I mean the very basics) I could teach you a few useful words and phrases!

I can give you an insight into British culture, our history and my perspective on what a cool and diverse place America is and in particular how much I love SF!
