I'm lucky enough to live in a great spot right next to the beach at Pacific Palms (Boomerang Beach) which is about 90 minutes north of Newcastle and around 3 hours north of Sydney.

about my place:
I have a double size sofa bed in my lounge room which has a door for privacy
If you have a camper van there is parking just outside on the kerb where you can park and sleep. I have four neighbours that live in my building. Normally we drink beers and a bbq when couchsurfers stay. In winter we have a fire

distance to closest bus stop: about a 1km walk... there are three buses from Newcastle each day that stop here.
closest train station: Newcastle (90 minutes drive) or Taree (60 minute drive)
closest airport: Newcastle airport (90 minutes drive)
distance to local shops and cafes about a 1km walk
distance to large supermarket:15 minutes drive
distance to the beach: 50meters

Things we can do that might interest you:
1. The Beach... There are at least a dozen awesome surf beaches close by, the closest is Boomerang Beach (about 30 metres away)

2. Snorkelling... I have a spare mask and snorkel that you can use.

3. Sight seeing... I can drive you to some awesome beaches, lakes and lookouts
