ABOUT ME

I'm a very passionate and excited person. :-) I'm constantly trying to learn more about the world and how it works. I'm very easygoing and flexible, and I love to meet new people and make new friends. I haven't traveled very much, but I would love to start, and I hope that Couch Surfing will help me do that!

Interests

I'm happily and proudly a geek in many senses of the word. I love reading and listening to science news and literature (Science Friday, NewScientist, The Infinite Monkey Cage, etc.) I'm a techy obsessive radio and podcast listener (This American Life, Nerdist, Radiolab, NPR, etc.) I'm a political news junkie (BBC, Democracy Now!, Slate Political Gabfest, Marketplace, 60 Minutes, etc.), and I love live comedy. Stand up and sketch shows are fantastic, but my heart and energy always end up in Chicago style longform Improv. :-D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After a droll tour of the bay, the boat my family and I were taking emerged from the fog wafting in onto San Francisco and we all looked up to see the most amazing picturesque view of the Golden Gate Bridge bursting off the hillside and disappearing into the fog.

After a long but mostly pleasant climb, my friends and I made it to the top of Mount Sherman. I had never climbed to the top of a mountain before, but I would love to do it again.
