Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife, Kelsey, and I are looking to travel extensively within the next year and truly have enjoyed hosting people and showing them around our hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Interests

After graduating from the same high school, we reconnected during college and have settled into building our lives together. Kelsey graduated from the University of Colorado in nearby Boulder, while Dan received his degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. We've come to know and love Colorado and have explored various parts of the state through camping, hiking, and weekend excursions.

We truly believe in experiencing everything life has to offer. During our free time, you'll find us checking out a new band, touring the local breweries, biking to our favorite restaurants, or planning our next adventure. We also love to snuggle up indoors during the Rocky Mountain winter with a good movie or book, a homemade meal, and a glass of wine.

Music: Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, The Band, The Beatles, Paper Bird, The Shins, Chili Peppers, and Dylan.

Movies: Anything by Mel Brooks, Harry Potter, Caddyshack, Clue, Wanderlust, Five Year Engagement, and The Lord of the Rings and Hobbits movies.

Books: Hemingway, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, On the Road, and One Hundred Years of Solitude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our nine week backpacking trip throughout Europe opened up my eyes as to what travel and what the world as a whole have to offer. My backpack never made it to Europe but that didn't step us from having the time of our lives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As born-and-bred locals we can offer you valuable insights into the city of Fort Collins and its nearly unlimited breweries. We can also offer advice on the best hikes, backpacking, and other outdoor activities. We love cooking and eating at the numerous tasty restaurants in FoCo. We are happy to tag along or be the home base guru with local insight, whatever works best for your style of travel!
