CURRENT MISSION

I have been studying the Russian language for awhile now and am currently planning a trip to study abroad in Irkutsk and confront environmental issues in Lake Baikal. I want to travel Russia by rail before I do so to really immerse myself in the culture!

ABOUT ME

I have wanted to travel since I was small. As of now, I am a student at DePaul University in Chicago; I am studying Geography with a focus in geotechnology (so GIS, cartography, remote sensing) and also the Russian Language. I am waiting for the day that I can get off of this continent for some time!

PHILOSOPHY

I really just want to better understand myself and the world around me, that is all. I am generally very liberal in my social/political beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As part of being a full-time student, I don't have time for much besides work and classes! However, I will try to host surfers this Winter and during my time off. This is my first time participating! Please ask, I can be flexible and would love to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to couchsurfing through my roommate; we have hosted two surfers within the past year. I hope to continue with this in the future.

Interests

The great outdoors, adventuring, reading, maps (and making them too), biking through the city, house shows, new languages, cats, rad sweaters, black coffee, and super nintendo!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mostly exploring the beautiful western United States (Utah, Colorado in particularl) and visiting Hawaii (twice)!
