About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to combine being a doctor with being in the mountains. Oh, and escape the Brexit mess of the UK.
ABOUT ME
I have worked as a mountaineer, a post-doctoral research scientist......and now a medical doctor.
I like learning new skills.
PHILOSOPHY
If you can't fix it with gaffer tape, you haven't used enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Due to work, it is not easy for me to host guests, but I will do so when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch Surfing has already had awesome impacts on my life.
Interests
I like to climb mountains, ski, run, kayak, drink tea (After all, I am English!), and love a good whisky.

Music, Movies, and Books
I play the guitar terribly, but like to listen to The Shins, Broken Bells, Led Zeppelin, most classical music, and BBC Radio 6. Basically, I like anything good and live.
Books - I love "real" books, but am trying to embrace 'eBooks' for the sake of weight saving when travelling. They just don't smell the same….
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been lucky enough to visit a lot of interesting places, including Antarctica. I also find that medicine offers some pretty amazing opportunities.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm, what can I teach?
1) Climbing/mountaineering skills.
2) How to suture yourself up ;)
3) How to use a laser confocal microscope (pretty niche).
4) How to gut a fish (I learnt this from an awesome Dane, who lives in Norway, called Otto).
5) I can teach you how to make a "proper" English cup of tea.
