ABOUT ME

I'm a Vietnamese-American born in Pennsylvania. Growing up, my home had the customs of Vietnamese culture but at the same time I identified with culture/music from the US.

I am currently riding a motorcycle from Ha Noi all the way to Saigon. My plan is to get to know each city intimately along the way.

I am easy-going and enjoy being spontaneous.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a wonderful concept. I am very mindful about being respectful of homes, and want to maintain the beauty of the home. I love to get a taste of the local flavor whether it is cooking or seeking out the hidden food gems, instead of the typical tourist traps.

I want to be able to get the full feel of living in a city from someone who knows it well. I think it's beautiful for a native share their gems with someone new.

兴趣

Martial arts, stand-up comedy, cooking, football(soccer), beer and stories, meditation, tea, and yoga.

I love the idea of mixing cultures together. I really like to explore and get a feel of multi-cultural areas of large cities. It is such an immersive state of being, where you dive into a rich mix of tradition and people who willing to live in another country.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The first time I went abroad was in 2004. I visited Vietnam and was finally able to put the faces to the many names of my relatives. Being there for a month still has a lasting impact and unique memories that I share to this day.
