About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To save enough mooney for EuroTrip09 [because I've already paid the airfare:)]. I want to see lots of snow, meet exciting people that can take me to places and show/do hilarious/fun/scary/awesome things. Test my limits, have great fun and forge my destiny

ABOUT ME

All about me? Oh man. I'm a pretty awesome dude at times, and all the other times I like to think I'm cool as well, or at the very least, 'rad'. I'm fairly quiet, mild mannered in real life, so I guess the quirk/funny side comes out in print more than it does in conversation :). I like exploring, new places and interesting things hidden away from the normal and the everyday make them special, to me. I like introspection, it hasn't becoming damaging to my sanity yet so I guess I'll keep chipping away :). Friends are pretty cool, hey? Anyone who can make you laugh so hard you snort orange juice is a keeper (as an aside, anyone who will snort pepper with you just to see what happens is pretty up there as well). Finding that great group of people who know you inside out and have shared history, interests and tastes makes life fly by all the easier.

If I haven't lost you yet, I also like music reading movies music travel family music [insert sport of choice here] and music. Add to this sentence a random picture of me with sunglasses on standing in front of some famous monument in some part of the world smiling as if to say 'hey, look what I'm standing in front of, it's that famous thing everyone has seen in a million other photos but here's one with me in it' and hopefully I have fulfilled your expectations :). I'm totally unique, just like everyone else.

If you would like to know more, I would suggest contacting me in some way. Preferably using the internet would be good, if you show up at my house I may not take it the way you intend it and sic my menagerie of cats (1), dogs (2), birds (a few) and resident spiders (they aren't so much pets as involuntary houseguests) upon you. I sure hope I trained the spiders properly, so far all they can do is perform Hugh Jackman's song and dance number from the Tony awards. Impressive, yes, useful, not so much.

To infinity, and beyond.

PHILOSOPHY

Walk softly, and carry a big stick. Gravitas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, purely with bad jokes, and joke related puns, and pun related puns, and maybe a pearl of wisdom or two (that later is devalued by a jeweller as it is, indeed, a KoolMint)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, as yet! To be continued...

Boy how I wish I had have known all these OTHER sections were down here when I started the 'All About Me' Section. Clearly that section overstates its jurisdiction.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter changed my life. Hey you guys I got into it when I was 12 or something, it was bound to happen. I would like to say that the Da Vinci Code movie was MUCH better than the book, because movies better than books are rare. Other than that I usually read texts for university, economics, national security and intelligence, underdevelopment, classics on Enlightenment ideology. For a 'left of centre' interest of mine, the Theban Plays by Sophocles were AWESOME I loved reading it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe experiential osmosis of character traits, practical and esoteric knowledge is the best form of education. Being around people and taking with me small snippets of their behaviours, ideas or opinions, both consciously and subcionsciously, is a great aggregagator of total human experience.
