About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world and learn how to play this damn ukulele...amongst other missions :)
ABOUT ME
I'm a laidback but adventurous guy living here in sunny Manchester. I work as an urban planner, which has partly influenced my desire to explore places. My passions are indie/alternative/folk music, indian food (both cooking and devouring), film, racket sports, meeting new people and, of course, travel.
WHERE I LIVE
So, you may want to stay at my house ay?! Well....
I live close to Old Trafford football stadium (but, I do not support this somewhat average team), so you'd get to see a bit more of Manchester than just the inner city and its only 15 minutes from the centre on the lovely Tram.
Strangely, my house is actually only a 20 minute walk from another city - Salford (The Quays) - which borders Manchester. So there are 2 cities right on my doorstep - guess that's a bonus! At Salford Quays you can explore the new development of Media City, the Lowry Art Gallery and Imperial War Museum, if you are so inclined.
Id be happy to do my best as a tour guide, but if I dont have time I can give you plenty of advice on what you can do in Manchester, or point you in the direction of some of the city's best neighbourhoods.
In the meantime, have a read of this which will give you an idea of why Manchester is becoming a great place to visit:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far ive only hosted...and i feel im slowly getting better at this hosting malarkey, but im hoping to meet people who are kind enough to show me their city and welcome me into their home. If you're heading in this direction I'm happy to show you the best of Manchester.
In the next few years I hope to travel to all parts of the globe....it would be great to meet up with people who actually live in the places I visit so that they can show me what they have to offer.
It seems like the perfect way to learn about new places and cultures, meet lots of interesting people and just have fun.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive only ever had positive experiences from couchsurfing. For me its not only about having somewhere to stay, its about socialising, sharing experiences and hopefully making new friends.
