About Me

My husband and I are battling physical issues, which motivates us live life to the fullest while we can. We travel and try to experience as much culture and nature as possible with our 2 daughters, and sometimes just the 2 of us. Sometimes our travels are for medical treatment, but we always make them into adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have used Airbnb for years because of the experience of getting to know locals and living like a local. When we heard about this, we were intrigued. I’m not sure if anyone would want to stay with us, because we live in a rather boring city, but we have room for people and would love to host.

Wes Anderson, documentaries.
David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Safran Foer, Jonathan Franzen, Margaret Atwood, Christopher Moore, historical fiction, anything really.

Teach, Learn, Share

Value your physical health. Appreciate every little thing that every joint or nerve in your body can do for you. We are battling a brain tumor (my husband) and scleroderma (me) and we are as active as we can push ourselves to be out of appreciation for what we might lose or have lost.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bedroom, recommendations on places to go. 1 hour to 1.5 hours to Orlando attractions. 10 minutes to beach.
