About Me

I am not your common American student abroad. I hate being in large groups of obnoxious people who refuse to learn and use the local language of the current country. I hate getting embarrassingly and belligerently drunk. I love to explore different cities and countries that have many different customs of my own. I love to compare and contrast foreign languages with the one I speak. I love to learn how other people live and even though I may not live the same way, I appreciate and respect them for teaching me. I hope I get to meet many new people on this journey I am taking, and learn endlessly!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to make new friends and experience new places! Although currently I am studying abroad in Europe, I cannot host guests. I think couchsurfing is a great tool to travel and meet so many new people on the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl Wudunn
Movie: Here Comes the Boom
Music: Anything from seventies music, to the nineties, to pop, country, jazz. I love basically any and all music types(:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is choose to study abroad for a year in Florence, and possibly I will be finishing the year out in Spain! Since arriving here I've learned countless cultural differences and have added so much to my previous knowledge of the Italian language. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year will bring(:

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very interested in learning the local customs of the places I visit, so if you ever do end up hosting me don't be surprised when I'm more excited to visit the local park than I am to visit a big, tourist-filled monument(: I will try to teach you as much as I can about whatever common interests we may have. If we're talking cultural and travel, I have a Sicilian background so I can teach you a lot from what I've learned spending summers there!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences and companionship with hosts. I'm looking to make life-long friendships with those who are kind enough to offer that back to me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Dominican Republic, Italy, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
