About Me
CURRENT MISSION
As the great Spock (Leonard Nimoy, rest in peace) once said, "To explore strange new worlds... to seek out new life and new civilizations... and to boldly go where no (wo)man has gone before."
ABOUT ME
I am open to any adventure, a balanced mix of introvert and extrovert, and I love to laugh. Meeting new people is something I have struggled with in the past, but I now love to do. I like to think of myself as organized, with a hint of spontaneity. I believe that striking up the most unexpected of friendships and stumbling upon little treasures and moments is what life is all about.
Always game for Boggle, music nights/karaoke, and general adventuring of all sorts.
PHILOSOPHY
Simply "Carpe Diem" (Seize the Day).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on CouchSurfing to get a true cultural experience of the places I travel to, instead of just the regular tourist experience. I love to meet new people and am very open-minded to their suggestions on how to have the richest experience of their country.
Interests
Photography, history, language, travelling (...obvious), a variety of sports, sci-fi movies, musical theatre, programming, music, food, art... I could go on forever.
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and am interested in almost everything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love documentaries on animals, particularly Frozen Planet. Polar bears are my favourite.
Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek... any sci-fi movies are totally up my alley.
Music-wise, I love alternative, indie, 60's pop, classic 80's rock, some 90's grunge, rap, folk... Essentially, everything except heavy metal.
My favourite book is definitely 8000 Things You Should Know. I'm a beast at trivia because of this book! I also enjoy Catcher in the Rye.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have jumped off of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. It was crazy. I really want to do something crazier though.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach people about Canada and encourage them to visit our vast and beautiful country!
I would enjoy learning the language and customs of the country I am visiting and some neat random things along the way.
Sharing is caring!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Sharing my passion for photography, travel, and Canada, as well as a warm smile.
I would also love to share my experiences and knowledge with my hosts! Also, Canadian maple syrup.
