About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world and see everything from a local perspective, go on scuba diving trips and meet dive buddies, go on skiing trips and meet ski/snowboarding buddies, and other fun crazy adventures.

ABOUT ME

I studied Spanish, math, education, and engineering in college. While studying engineering, I got involved with student submarine competitions. I got scuba certified to do submarine research, and since then I have been diving in springs all over Florida, and also in the Florida Keys.

I love spending time outdoors - going to the river, hiking, camping, kayaking. I also like to try new things. It's all part of the thrill of traveling :)

PHILOSOPHY

The world is my oyster; I can have whatever I want. I just have to make it happen. Hmm, now what is it that I want?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to couchsurf, but I am excited to get started!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never Couch Surfed. But one time I went to a conference in Chicago with some girls I have never met from my school. I live in Arizona, so I didn't get a chance to meet them. I had also never been to Chicago before. I got to my hotel and met my three lovely roommates. I was nervous sharing a room with strangers, but it was one of the most fun trips I've ever been on. All we did was walk around downtown (and of course, attend conference), but it was an amazing experience. When it was time to go home, I felt like I had known them for years!

Interests

Gator football, scuba diving, skiing, kayaking, anything involved with water or snow.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, Armin van Buuren (I know, one of these is not like the other :P )

Movies: haven't seen any movies recently, but I LOVED Lost. I also watched Jersey Shore, but in a trainwreck kinda way. I started watching Breaking Bad, but it got slow around the 3rd or 4th season.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went scuba diving in the shark tank at the Georgia Aquarium. Whale sharks, tiger sharks, sawtooth sharks, manta rays, stingrays, and lots and lots of fish!

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent 11 years in college because I didn't know what I wanted to study. I have learned a lot of well-rounded knowledge from the college experience, inside and outside of the classroom.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Mexico, Sint Maarten (Dutch part), United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
