We are a friendly couple that loves to travel and meet people from different countries, share stories, learn about other customs, foods and above all philosophies.
Laughing as much as possible and trying new sports or whatever other activity makes us feel happy and alive. But....We are not "we"...:

Roberto (according to dana): jolly Chilean guy who gets along well with really everyone. He loves hiking, kayaking or whatever other sport with a bit of excitement. Is also a real handy man, always finding ingenious solutions for whatever problem. Is a master in not worrying and getting stressed, but just laugh (talk bullshit) and enjoy life.

Dana (according to Roberto): a girl that always smiles and feels she needs to help other people in whatever way she can. Loves socialising (and discussing) but also doesn't mind (actually likes) to travel or just go out alone. She is a bit restless (or curious) always wanting to try new sports and activities, changing jobs, places or lifestyle if possible.. or maybe it is just that she likes to dream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are members of CS because we love to travel, to socialize , to meet people and to see and intereact with different cultures. We like to make people feel welcome, give them a home away from home and local tips to really get to know the Hague. And of course we also really appreciate having that opportunity when we travel. Such a different way of getting to know a city/country and its people.

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are open to host people whenever it suits our schedules.
We are active travelers who often camp or sleep in the car. Whenever we visit cities we prefer to stay with a local host to meet interesting people and to get a more realistic idea of life in the city. Or when staying in a hostel we also try to go to cs events to meet local people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, it has been already several years since we discovered this wonderful system. We have hosted quite a few people and surfed in several places and sometimes attend couchsurf meetings or other cs activities. Until now we've only had great experiences with couchsurfers and we are looking forward to meet more lovely people through CS. It is almost like a hobby, we love it.

Interests

Travel, socialize and interact with people from different cultures.
We like to cycle, play tennis and do hiking (whenever we are outside of Holland).
We have a kite and a kayak to entertain ourselves on the beach.
We are also into remodalating the house , listing to live music in small bars or festivals and in for basicly any activity..

Music, Movies, and Books

We love watching movies, many different styles...to name a few: Django Unchained, La vita e bella, Seven Psychopaths, In Brugges, Eternal Sunshine of a Spottless mind, Sliding Doors, Forest Gump. And unfortunately also series (very time consuming) such as Games of Thrones, Dexter and Breaking Bad.

Books; a bit of everything, from J.K. Rowlings to R. Dawkins, but my (dana) favourite writer remains Douglas Adams.

Music; Reggae, Jazz (swing), sing a song writers and Rock music (and Ska for concerts). To name a few names: Mishka, Amie Mann, Jack Johnson, Ziggy Marley, the Black Crows, Melanie, Beef, Life of Agony, Alice in Chains, Godwana, Calle 13 and Metallica

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Apart from being alive.....Hang gliding was an amazing experience!!! ( and not to forget ..surviving the mountains in Albania! (dana))
