ABOUT ME

Dan is a motion graphics designer/tinkerer. He enjoys beer, coffee, fine conversations, working on engines, welding, odd projects, dive bars, and confusing small animals. Also, occasionally large animals.

Elena is awesome. She designs pretty things.

Bert is our cat. He's 18 pounds (8 kg) of orange fuzzy silliness.

PHILOSOPHY

One of the greatest joys of life is being in the company of friends. Another is good food and drink. Yet another is the knowledge of having done good work. All together, I think you might approach satisfaction, despite what the Rolling Stones say.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're very interested in having people stay with us, showing them what we love about our city and hearing about their lives and experiences. We also hope to meet more people on our travels and think this sounds a fine way of doing so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several of our friends began participating in the couch surfing project a while ago. We've enjoyed meeting the people who have stayed with them and are excited about having more to write in this box.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Elena: Rode an Elephant in Thailand
Dan: Drove to New York in the winter. There was a section of highway through Pennsylvania of rolling hills covered in snow of indescribable beauty under the moonlight. It felt as though the night and the road belonged only to the forest and me. At once awesome and comforting with the thrill of the traveler upon horseback of ages ago.

We have loads of knowledge of computer graphics and good old analogue graphics. Plus general tinkering knowledge, building knowledge, mechanical, esoterica, history, art history, whatnot. Always willing and eager to learn more!
