We met backpacking in Italy in 2005.

We've hiked from Mexico to Canada twice - heading north in 2009 along the Pacific Crest Trail and heading south in 2010 along the Continental Divide Trail. Eventually we want to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail.

Lived in the DC area (Reston) for 3 years and in then in 2013 we followed our hearts to move to Asheville. We're disappointed in the dumpster diving scene but everything else about Asheville is INCREDIBLE! Southern hospitality, mountains, thrift shops, local food, great energy!

We got a new baby, so not able to host right now, but are free to meet up and check out local events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All have been brilliant. Great way to meet incredible and interesting people. We also had many amazing "trail angel" experiences where random people we met hosted us at their houses or gave us rides during our backpacking adventures.
