ABOUT ME

I come from a place called Newcastle which is the last major city in England before Scotland. This means I have a northern English accent, also known as Geordie. I have just spent the best part of 8 years studying engineering. I felt that now was the time to travel more of this beautiful world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed at two places, Austin and Miami. I am pretty new to this!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Both experiences in Miami and Austin were amazing. Because of the hosts these places have been highlights of my road trip around the U.S. so far.

I have a huge passion for music and it's hard to pick out one genre I like most. Some include classic rock (Pink Floyd etc.), metal (Parkway Drive), dance (trance, house etc.), blues and many more.
Favourite movie would probably be The Usual Suspects. I love a movie that has a big plot twist, or something that gets you thinking.
I tend to read non-fiction books mostly, but anything with a good storyline is good too.

On this road trip already I have seen and done so much. Sand bars in Miami, roof top bars in Manhattan, Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Declaration of Independence in D.C., The Cloud Gate in Chicago. I could go on!
I have also done a lot of travelling in Europe and some of Asia. Florence and Rome are standout places. Italy is such a beautiful country. Paris and Monaco are also amazing for different reasons. I've also swam in the Dead Sea and visited Jerusalem. I believe travelling enriches you as a person.

Because of my educational background I have a good understanding of the electronics that make up our computers, smart phones and tablets. I would be happy to discuss any of these concepts as I love to talk about it!
