Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Dan. I’m from the UK and currently living in Bucharest, where I run a business called Podstel.
Part hostel for travellers, part community cafe for locals, Podstel is all about bringing people together to share, experience and connect. If you’re curious to learn more, feel check out out: www.podstel.com
I also love to write, sharing my thoughts and ideas about well-being, life and the future. If you’re interested to read more you can check out my website: www.danbeaumont.com.
Travel has been a big part of my life. I've spent a good portion of the last 8 years hitchhiking, Couchsurfing and exploring the world, learning about myself and taking time to get to know those I was fortunate to meet along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travel is a great way to grow so I am here to learn, meet interesting people and spread kindness.
Interests
I love a good adventure and being in nature, particularly if it involves running, cycling or hiking.
Every year I take one month off and go on an extended adventure. For the last 4 years, I chose to walk a different 1,000km route on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This year I plan to cycle 5,000km from Bucharest to Britain.
When I'm not enjoying the outdoors, I like to read, listen to music, and cook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many great memories, but I’m torn between two that had a large impact on my life:
