About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the world a little bit smaller... in a big way :)

ABOUT ME

I'm from Lake Taupo, a small town in New Zealand, if you ever go to New Zealand you have to go visit!! I went to Universitiy in Palmerston North.

I used to think that I'd like to finish school, get a good job, get paid lots, buy lots of 'stuff' have a nice house, etc. etc. I then started travelling in 2002 - and haven't looked back. Now all I want is to have a good time, to meet amazing people, to experience what there is to experience. I don't want to miss out on anything - and I do my best not to.

I am spontaneous, I don't say no very often, I'm not shy... most of the time. Random memory from school - One day all the students were sitting in the school hall, listening to someone who I'm probably supposed to remember who he was. He held out a five dollar note, and asked who wanted it, obviously everyone said yes... and he asked who really wanted... again everyone said yes. I got up, and took it. :)

Claim to fame - Everclear got me up on stage, and I played Santa Monica with them - even got a video of it online now.

I like to think that I can make someone's life better, somehow, whether it's just by taking them somewhere new, showing them something they've never seen, helping them with something they couldn't do by themselves... or just making them smile.
I will be famous, won't I??? hmmm, will still need to find something to be famous for, but surely that's not too important is it? I like to share, and I like people to share with me.
My life somewhat revolves around music, and all things musical. Making music, listening to music, watching people make music, thinking about music, there's a soundtrack to everything, soundtrack to my life.
I recorded a song, a pretty basic recording but I think it turned out OK - you can listen here:

Tell me what you think.

So, I think I'm about done here.
Now, tell me about you...

PHILOSOPHY

Ask me, I might.

Once in a while it hits people that they don't have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.

You can only be young once, but you can be immature forever...

'Go broke for what you love.
It's only money; only stuff.'
- John Mayer

It all works out in the end. Always.
It's not about the destination it's about the company.

I'm having the best time of my life... I hope it continues.
:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting, planning, surfing, helping, informing, spreading the word, meeting, touring, guiding and doing my best where ever I am... :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living in Dublin I was actively involved with CS almost every day, although I couldn't host myself I spent a lot of time with CS visitors in Dublin, and all the amazing hosts Dublin has as well - some of them my best friends now.
After Dublin I was involved in the CS community in Berlin for six months, met some great people there as well... and now I am travelling Europe... being hosted by some fantastic people along the way.

I have travelled, I have surfed, I have hosted, I love it all. :)
Thanks!!

Interests

I love music, and basically live my life for it. I love music festivals, or any festivals for that matter. Festival hopping through Europe is a favourite pastime.
I obviously can't stop travelling, just love it, and love meeting new people and going new places.

I like alternative ideas, alternative lifestyles, I am interested in different ideas, and new ways of thinking. I like the idea of sustainable living. I love good conversation, that really makes you think.
