About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making some friends in Toronto this month
ABOUT ME
I'm a really friendly and easygoing guy. You'll like me. I'm adaptable and don't need any special accommodations. I can hold my own in almost any sort of conversation except sports and technology. I study History and Critical Theory. I like lively conversation over drinks, making dumb art, photography, and writing.
PHILOSOPHY
I strive to be open-minded and life-affirming.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Making hybrid culture, learning about people. I try to be totally considerate to my hosts and guests. I've never actually surfed through this website, but I am very good at cleaning up after myself, doing dishes, and having good conversations. I usually carry around everything I need: sleeping bag, towel, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Best couchsurfing was when I crashed at my friends' tent in Yoyogi Park in Tokyo. I've also had the pleasure of hosting some nice people when I lived in Chicago. If you read this, best wishes to you all!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitch-hiked across Japan (Nagasaki to Hokkaido) with a friend.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can do bike repair pretty well. I can also teach people how to use chopsticks. A long time ago I used to teach guitar lessons to friends. I'm training to become a professor of History so I guess I can always talk about my research if you're interested in listening.
I'd love to be a student of anything you're willing to teach: personal philosophies, favorite recipes, new songs on guitar.
One hobby of mine I'd like to pursue is photography. If you've got special photo skills I'd love to share tips with you.
