About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To build a "tiny house"!

ABOUT ME

A friend recently described me as exuberant, and an old-timer said I'm "refreshingly different" :)

Still trying to figure out what I will do when I grow up! Just exploring the inner & outer landscapes, learning to be human...

PHILOSOPHY

Clean up your messes on every level!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The people of Madison, WI made for a memorable last month in an incredible, unexpected, 6-month journey in Wisconsin a few years back. I was delighted to host a European couple in my little cabin. Starting to do more now that I'm out west :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couch surfed for several months in my early 20s (before CS!), I carried supplies to make these incredible 5-ingredient cookies (it's all about the maple syrup) around in my car with me and made them wherever I went... a great way to get invited back!

Interests

Anything having to do with healthy, natural living. I enjoy yoga & tai chi, gardening & wildcrafting, hiking & backpacking, swimming & kayaking, etc. I'm passionate about intentional community & sustainable housing, and celebrating the cycles of the sun & moon...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mostly world & folk. Bluegrass, funk, and reggae. Anything with good horns and/or hand drums. Stuff that I can dance to!

Books: I generally read non-fiction on sustainability and spirituality type topics, though I can also get sucked in to a good story :)

Movies: Not my thing - they make me motion sick. Maybe once or twice a year I'll watch an exceptional documentary or the occasional animated treasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kayaking deep into the Okefenokee Swamp (along the Georgia/Florida border), and camping out on platforms above the water. There was literally no one else in the entire park... just me & the alligators!

Teach, Learn, Share

Sprouting, wild edibles, butchering road kill :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I usually cook and clean for folks.....

Countries I’ve Visited

Antigua and Barbuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
