About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live, love, learn and laugh
ABOUT ME
I'm currently between things, but looking to stay in the UK a little while. I like mountains and maths and music. And silliness and sincerity. I love nature. I really want to learn more about sustainable living and spend lots more time outdoors, I like hiking about places. I want to learn more about the world and about different ways of living and doing things. I want to hear more peoples' ideas. I want to learn more. I dislike self analysis/descriptions. I'm a little awkward.
PHILOSOPHY
"Traditional people did things mindfully and carefully, with no distinction between art and work, and meditation and education.
In every action is sacred process." ~ a book about cob
Breaking patterns seems key. As does making choices. And never doing anything with resentment. And remembering how unlikely, beautiful and fleeting time is. And trying to conquer fear (something I've not yet learned).
You will never and can never please everyone. I think if you can manage to live a life which is in accordance with your principles and do as you think is right; by yourself, others and the world, then you're doing pretty well.
âÃâ¬ÃÅStuff your eyes with wonder, live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories. Ask no guarantees, ask for no security, there never was such an animal. And if there were, it would be related to the great sloth which hangs upside down in a tree all day everyday, sleeping its life away. He said 'shake the tree and knock the great sloth down'". ~ Ray Bradbury
I don't know really. This all changes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Amazing :)
It's changed my life - I love it!
I've met so many kind, switched on, interesting, beautiful, fun, passionate, wonderful, intelligent and just damnright awesome people through CS.
I've had experiences I've learnt a lot from, experiences I've enjoyed, I've shared experiences with people, connected with people, made wonderful friendships, been humbled by the kindness of strangers and the overwhelming warmth of human compassion.
Obviously this is down to people. But CS facilitated a lot of it. And often inspired adventures even when it wasn't directly involved, or someone I'd met through it did. It's all about the people... and I've met lots of good people through CS.
Overall: Brilliant!
