About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding an island I can claim. It'll be called Isle o' Nadia. I'm still working on the name...
ABOUT ME
I'm a mutt and I love chocolate. In fact, you can probably bribe me with chocolate. I am friendly, but also awkward... which makes for a weird combination. I'm the person who accidentally trips over a blind person's walking stick, or walks into a pane of glass. I looove doing new and spontaneous things. I now live in London and am a freelance consultant for the social impact sector. I've found though, a "grown up" job does not change my personality or childish outlook on life :)
PHILOSOPHY
It's cliche, but: Live life to the fullest. Surround yourself with people you like and don't take life too seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In every way CS possible: hosting, surfing, community events... I can't get enough of it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been amazing EVERYWHERE I've been! I'm so glad I've discovered couchsurfing... I don't know if I'll ever be able to do hostels/hotels again :P It's the best way to meet wonderful, gracious people and get all the insider local scoop on where you're staying. A big shout out to all the wonderful hosts I've had.
Interests
I love new experiences and discovering new things. When traveling, I like to combine the nerdy-touristy sights with the unplanned happenings and having a good time!
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Amelie, Boondock Saints, Love Actually, Donnie Darko, V for Vendetta, Wedding Crashers, Across the Universe
Music: Almost anything really. Although, I'm not a big fan of country. or hardcore rap. I have a habit of singing at the top of my lungs in my car... off-key... and getting laughed at at red lights.
Books: Love in the Time of Cholera, Slaughterhouse 5, The God of Small Things, Like Water for Chocolate
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What HASN'T been amazing, honestly? I can't think of just one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think to be well-rounded and open-minded, you have to experience as much of the world as possible and let yourself be submerged in the different cultures.
