ABOUT ME

Brande and Dan (sometimes called Dande and Bran by friends) are a boy and a girl who met and fell in love when they were 14. They are now 22, happily married and still in love. They love food, music, people, learning, good beer, working out, art, and being silly.

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, we'll be surfers. Hopefully in the future we'll get to provide a couch (and food and conversation because heaven knows Brande can't resist feeding a guest).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been great! The people we've met and chatted with have been so gracious and helpful. I can't wait until we can host and repay some of this kindness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Both:
-Sitting on a boulder on a deserted beach in San Francisco watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean while the tide rolled in. Sitting on top of Mount Tamalpais eating fresh, locally made bread, cheese, and honey.
-Driving north on CA-1 just before sunset, turning a corner and discovering that we were above the clouds. It was one of the most beautiful things we've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Brande Says: Don't ever try to pan sear in a non-stick skillet. Buy a stainless steel skillet, put it on medium-high heat, sear a scallop, and weep with joy. Also, I'd love to teach you how to make bread from scratch. =]
Dan says: A baked sweet potato is the best pre-workout supplement ever. I've got a pretty decent knowledge of natural and homeopathic medicine too, if you'd like to learn.
