Hi there! Nice to virtually meet you!

My name is Dane and I am very new to the Couchsurfing community, but I absolutely love the concept and prospect of sharing experiences with people from all over the world. I'm currently in London visiting my brother after only ever knowing the west coast of the US for my entire life (time to change that!)

I'm so bad at bios, but here are some things that I think are significant to mention:
My #1 rule for anything is to treat others the way you want to be treated
My #2 rule is to leave something better than you found it.
I'm a pretty chill and easygoing person who prefers experiences over materials!
I find joy in bad dancing, espresso, landscaping/gardening, deep conversation, and exploring nature.
I'm a huggee lover of art, design, and anything creative! Especially creativity related to social impact or social change.
I've seen nearly every horror movie ever made (seriously, test me if you want haha)
I'm queer
I've been vegan for about 3 years now for ethical reasons but I don't care what anyone else eats :)
I don't smoke cigarettes or do hard drugs, but I do smoke weed occasionally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing because I want to share stories, laughs, tears and memories with new people from all walks of life. I don't have much travel under my belt yet, but I feel that sharing experiences with others is the best way to understand and be grateful for life and humanity. It also helps that everyone here seems incredibly friendly and unique!

Honestly, any music but I love 60s, 70s, and 80s rock, R&B, classical, and yes, pop.
Stevie Nicks is my favorite
Movies:
Any horror movie (fav is the Shining) but I love romantic movies, comedies, classics, action. LOVE Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson movies.
Books:
The Shining, Pet Sematary, Jaws, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, The Stranger, Harry Potter. I'd love more book recommendations though!
