Hello, I'm Dane. This year I'm living in Freiburg, Germany and working as an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Program. I enjoy traveling around southern Germany, riding my bike and skateboard, camping, and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I studied abroad in Morocco in 2011, and one of my best friends there hosted Couch Surfers from all over the place. That's how I first heard of it, and it was great getting to know people. My friend and I also took a trip to Italy and stayed with some very nice hosts in Ferrara. My own personal profile is very new, but I'm hoping to find places to stay for one or two nights in other cities.

Interests

I'm interested in teaching foreign language, specifically English to speakers of German and Arabic and German to speakers of Arabic. I studied international affairs, Arabic, and German, and I look forward to spending a year in Germany this coming fall.

I was studying Arabic in Alexandria, Egypt when the Arab Spring got started.
