One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarding down BlackComb Glacier: After going up a gondola, two chair-lifts, a treacherous t-bar and an easy hike up a foot trail, strap in. The heavy fog makes it difficult to see five feet. The alternative is to walk down. So, drop into the abyss...

For the first few seconds, visibility is zero. You can feel the soft powder beneath your board, and you want to enjoy it, but you're still flying blind. As you speed down past the column of fog, this great expanse of billowy snow greets you.
