ABOUT ME
I love to travel and meet new people - my friends say I "make friends wherever I go"!
At the moment, I'm looking to move into working in the third sector. I'm also applying for some masters courses in International Development / Violence & Conflict, with the aim of looking to do policy, research or other work for organisations supporting refugees.
I recently also started hosting a monthly radio show! It combines my love of music and the London Underground, so every month I play a few tunes that are related to a particular London Underground tube line.
I really love living in London because there's always something to do - I can often be found in a pub with friends, at a public lecture, in the park (when it's not raining!), trying out a new burger place, at home playing guitar, or on the weekends I might be taking a short trip to somewhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a few times in the past, it was great fun, and I've surfed too. I think it's a great way to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. I've also really enjoyed meeting CSers in random parts of the world - for example, I spent an afternoon with a Zimbabwean, Norweigan, Iranian, German and Malaysian in Penang one time - how often does that kind of thing happen?!
Interests
I really love stationery - I have far too many notebooks, mostly half-used, but I'm making a concerted effort now to revisit them and fill up the pages!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and the whole trip was just amazing. It was three or four days spent driving in a jeep across some really stunning scenery culminating in a whole morning at the salt flats which were so beautiful.
Also, walking along the Great Wall of China in winter, whilst it was covered in snow, and with few other visitors around, was one of the most amazing things I've ever done.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm really happy to rustle up some dinner - I do eat meat but I know some pretty good vegetarian recipes too.
I can play a few tunes on the guitar too and maybe have a jam.
