ABOUT ME

Something about a 2 by 6 inch text box that's labeled "All about you" is a little maddening to me. It's like 500 word max personal statements on job and college applications. It's not that I dislike talking about myself. Under a veil of introverted humility, I'm actually all ego. I can spend an afternoon blissfully reading my own journal. I just hate condensing. I hate simplifying. Because I think what I love about all this madness is just how wide and full it is. But for your guys' sake, here is less wide, less full, less breathtaking view of my unique humanity. I'm a listener, a lover of stories of all kinds, leaver of places I start to call home, lyric lover, a shame of a knitter, only child, person who strives to be less fearful, eater, walker, peacemaker, film watcher, stoner, mixer of live bands, friend, spiritual seeker, goofball, ocean dweller. I like the phrase "Let it Be" a lot.
