HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until recently I was just a host, now I have ventured to the other side of the fence. Both provide a wealth of exchange and everyone I expose to the project is overwhelmed with how amazing the project is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Finally surfed my first couch, Thank you Simone in Barcelona. Every person that assisted us in the Mediterranean was amazing. Frank in Malta has set a new goal for me as a host.

Most often I have been a host in Duluth/Superior.

Recently Ive have fallen in love with cruising. When I plan port travels I have contacted locals to be a guide for the day. My offer to hosts/guides is to pay all expenses to include meals, admissions, etc. But unfortunately or fortunately they have not allowed me to do so as of yet. What a great way to spend the day with a local person, overload on experiences and information about a locale and then jump back on ship and process the great time and introduction that was made.

I just retired from 20+ years in my field, now I am ready and open to a new chapter. Where I drop anchor is open as is what opportunity I will grab onto next.

For clarification Im currently retired and not IN Retirement.

I would like to hear from people and hear their thoughts about opportunities and suggestions for the next chapter.
