PHILOSOPHY

I'm a militant pacifist and proselytizing Taoist who follows the teachings of Buddha, Dr. Seuss, and Douglas Adams. I wanna grow up to be like Atticus Finch, or Huck Finn, or that old man who fishes under the bridge near my house.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host when I am able to, and surf when my schedule allows. Love to attend meetups and hang with other CSers, as I find them to be kindred souls and remarkable people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a number of people, though not as many as I wished I could have. My work and travel scheule sometimes prevent me from hosting everyone I would like to. I've hosted more than I have surfed, but all experiences have been good, and I am looking forward to more experiences in the CS community.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

To Kill a Mockingbird, anything by Tolkien, Twain or any comic about smart-ass cats. I am into traditional country, bluegrass, reggae, rhythm and blues, doo-wop, Andean pipe, and I eat, sleep and breathe TX Red Dirt music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen both my daughter's open their eyes for the first time outside their mother's womb, and greet me with unconditional love. It is humbling to know that my face was the first human face they saw in life, and the love they expressed at that moment is returned tenfold in their life thereafter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a 3.4 lb brain filled with millions and millions of bits of useless information, which I have no problem sharing with anyone, anytime...just ask them! I teach cultural understanding, critical analysis, and innovation methodologies as part of my profession.
