About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to become active on Couchsurfing as a way of helping out travelers that might find themselves in the area where I live (currently Maramures, but not really Maramures - more on that when we meet). This help might come in the form
of a couch to sleep on, a place to store some luggage while you hitch-hike in the area, some tips about where to have a good meal, a good beer experience or a great place where to have some coffee, or any other thing I may not think about right now.

Interests

My interests are so many, and so varied, that even I'm not sure of them...

I am interested in knowing more about other people, their way of thinking, of travelling, their life philosophies, their homes, food, and interests. I'm always interested in hearing a funny story, with an unexpected twist at the end...

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies? I'm not really into movies, more into TV series, like The Mentalist, The Closer, The big Bang Theory, The Wire, Breaking Bad and so on.

Books? Harry Potter, for sure!

Music - With a few exceptions, I enjoy all sorts of music, but I'm more intro electronic music, like liquid drum n' bass, downtempo, trip hop and some trance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling to a major European city (Barcelona), without any accommodation.

If you get to know me, you are going to find out that I like to have everything (or most things) planned, so going unprepared like that was a huuuuuge thrill for me. In the end it turned out to be one of the best travel experiences ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

If time allows it, I am more than willing to show you around my town, and maybe even join you on a day trip through the area. I am more than eager to teach you how to cook different meals, some of them traditional, others not.

I am willing to learn a ton of stuff! For now, my list contains and is not limited to: driving/sailing a boat, fishing on the sea/ocean/a river, cooking the fish, anything to do with oranges (the fruit), or with cheese, scuba diving, fly a plane.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a number of stories relating to my experience as a tour guide, my country, travel experience and so on.

I am quite handy around the kitchen, so if you need help with cooking or preparing a meal, it would be my absolute pleasure to help you out!
