Back from a 19 month world trip, starting a new life again.

I think i am a open minded, warm hearted and sensitive kind of person. Sometimes I am a bit shy, but this will change very fast :) I am not that into the nightlife, I like to be on the outside during the day and going home in the evening, happy with a lot of pictures in my head. But there is never something wrong with a few beers in a cosy bar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from all over the world, to hear their storys, cook with or for them, listen to music with them and to share some good beers.
To get insider tips and to travel aside from the touristic streets.

Interests

I absolutely LOVE music. Either if its going to concerts or sitting at home on the sofa listening to nice sounds. I collect vinyls and don't like MP3.

My second passion is cooking and eating! I am so interested in the different styles of cooking. But its not only the cooking, I am super interested in food in general. I like to know what I am eating, what is good for me, how to combine foods to have them nice and colourful. My project for our journey is to collect recipes from all over the world to write a cooking book after our world trip..... sometimes I think I have choosen the wrong kind of job and I should have become a chef ;-)

Other things i like to do are longboarding, riding my bike and giving our cats tons of love :) I enjoy meeting my friends and having some beers together.
And: photography and architecture, even it´s my job :) I like to do design stuff. NEW: felt in love with surfing in Costa Rica!!

Music, Movies, and Books

As I already said, I adore music. There are lots of types, bands and musicians I enjoy listen to. It depends in which mood and daytime I am in.
I am very passionated to music from the north of Europe. Especially Sweden and Iceland, they have such a good music scene. But I like it all. Cute pop music vom Japan, classical music and piano. Old school hip hop. Remembering the old days with some Soulfly, Rage against the Machine or In Flames .

My all time favourite book: Kafka on the shore by Haruki Murakami. I like his books in general. Also loved a lot: Extremly loud and incredible close by Jonathan Safran Foer.

I love superhero movies!! Batman is the greatest! But actually I am the Marvel girl: X-Men, Thor, Capt'n America, Iron Man, Hulk,...300 is great, The Watchmen awesome! Sometimes I like horror, always animated movies (I really like Pixar) and japanese anime: Studio Ghibli and Madhouse forever <3 But If I have to choose one favorite movie it will be Hook. I love Peter Pan and i love Robin Williams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Iceland, Iceland, Iceland. From Auroras to bathing in the Pacific Ocean, breathtaking nature, volcanos, fog, the most colours I have ever seen to natural hot springs, crazy animals and strange people. I love this country so much!
Taking the SouthWest Chief from Chicago to Kingman. Crossing the whole US with train. It was awesome!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn all ways of cooking. When I will be on my world trip with Nadine I will collect reciepes from all over the world (especially Asia!!). I would love if you can teach me your favourite cooking reciepe. In exchange I can teach you mine. The same it is with music. I love to share good music with good people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food (I would love to cook for you!) and beer!
And in exchange for a stay of course our home, if we have one one day again.
