Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been a while since I've used Cousurfing. I want to know if it's still the same and I am excited to meet more people and make new plans for more travels!

Interests

I like to try new things - activities, food, places, meeting interesting people,..
When you're visiting it might not become so obvious that I really do like to try new things, because I have to work a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, movies and books can be awesome. I went to three music festivals this year, which were all very different from each other. I liked each one of them. It's similar with books and movies. With exceptions.

My question: Why is Germany called GERMANY as in "GERM MANY"?! Does it derive from germs? Or do germs derive from Germany, or what?
