For many people, traveling is all about experiencing incredible views, beaches, cathedrals, squares, parks, trying local food and drinks and buying souvenirs. However, for me, the most important aspect of traveling is meeting new people. Nothing represents the soul of a country better than its locals. Only by interacting with them can you truly understand the culture and traditions of the country. You gain a unique perspective on the things around you and learn to appreciate them in a different way. This holds true whether you are being hosted or hosting someone else.
