About Me

Hello there. This is Dani. I moved to the US in 2023 to work on my Phd in electrical eng. Here, I get to meet and learn from people from different races, from all over the world, with different perspectives, cultures, and mindsets. Growing up in a progressive family in a rather "traditional" country, I learned no matter the differences are we share a common language and that is our feelings, as we are all humans after all. I believe we have more in common than differences. We all want love, respect, and to be heard, and this is why I love CS community, because they know this.

I love traveling, especifically for camping and hiking in new places. I found a couple of my best friends this way. I also love to explore new cities, going to their old neighborhoods, trying new foods, bars, clubs and museums.

I'm also sporty, I enjoy swimming in the nature, hiking, and biking.

Everyone in my family except me is a professional artist, so I grow up learning about art, specially cinema and painting. I used to play piano, but now I'm really passionate about cooking.

I'm also passionate about Science, particularly electrical eng and computer science. I teach math and physics in my free times, and I also Iove to talk to people with different professions and learn about what they professionally work on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a good piece of art no matter the genre, from classic rocks, old school hip-hops and old French movies to contemporary abstract paintings and experimental electronic music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year, I visited Chicago for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. I spent my days biking around the city, exploring different neighborhoods. It quickly became one of my favorite adventures because I got to see so much of the city that I wouldn't have discovered otherwise. Every day, I rented a bike and rode through Lincoln Park and along Lake Michigan towards downtown. A few years ago, I also backpacked around the Middle East, which was a truly magical experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is all about learning and sharing. I'm all about learning, no matter what it is about. That is why I enjoy talking to people, because everybody has something to teach. besides that I enjoy learning by reading blogs, books, and listening to podcasts.
