About Me

+++Please read the description carefully before getting in touch with me. Single sentence request are going to be replied to accordingly.+++

Hi there; happy to see you here! My name is Daniel and I'm currently taking a break from my usual job and am doing free walking tour in Zurich! Friends describe me as a cheerful, open-minded and talkative person who likes meeting people and sharing views on life and basically everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to form connections with people, regardless of the time that's available. You know the feeling when you just met someone and you mutually feel like as though you've known each other for a long time? I genuinely believe that that's the "golden stuff" (please bear with my cheesiness).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love talking about music and I'm open to pretty much every genre! What I currently listen to depends strongly on phases even periods. At the moment that's art-pop for me.
When it comes to films, theatre and literature I'm unfortunately much less knowledgeable. Even so I love to talk about those things equally!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not feeling like I should be singling out particular experiences. But if to name something I'd guess last year's cycling trip that took me 1600km across France all the way to Bordeaux; a challenging but truly rewarding experience.
Volunteering in a hostel in Albania this year has been an amazing experience as well! I'm aware that that's not anything out of the ordinary, but i truly value my time there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to properly peel a banana. Yes, there's a right way!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My allergies! I'm sorry but I do need to mention them at one point hahaha. But honestly: I've had to refuse many offers in the past revolving around food and I feel very sorry every time I have to do it. So if there's anything you'd like to share with me - be it as a guest as well as a host - just hit me up beforehand and we'll figure something out together! Other than that I'd say I'm quite low-maintenance so I'll accommodate to whatever circumstance you'll host me at. Just providing shelter alone is a very generous gesture after all! (Oh and I'll bring you chocolate ofc.)
