I'm South African born and raised. I grew up in JHB and moved to Cape Town when I was 8.

I love being in nature. I love swimming in open water and hiking and trail running.
I work as a Software Dev Engineer for Amazon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of the community. Having people get together and help each other out is an awesome thing. Having someone local introduce you to their city adds so much to the experience.

Interests

I like reading. I'm interested in politics and social issues and economics. I love history and how it relates to them.

I love football (or soccer), running, hiking, climbing, swimming, yoga and basically anything that involves being active and/or being outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm fussy but I love all kinds of culture.

Books: Classics, sci-fi/fantasy, Historical Fiction, any good novel, History books
Movies: All kinds - generally the older the better
Series: My favourite are comedies and of them my faourite are Brittish comedies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the otter trail. A beautiful 5 day walk that is not too strenuous but follows the coast of my favorite area of South Africa - the Garden Route. 5 days in the most spectacular nature - removed from cell phones and the sound of cars - out of sight of concrete - and in the company of friends is a revitalising experience.
