About Me

Hey there! I'm 26 years old and from Wiesbaden, Germany, where I have finished high school in 2015. Moved to Leipzig after my Gap Year of travelling in 2016, and since then I'm studying medicine here in this lovely university city.
As mentioned, before I've been on quite a big trip to the "other side of the world" - Australia and New Zealand - and having decided to go for a gap year was probably the best decision I could have made!
I've always enjoyed travelling a lot.
Now I've decided to come back for a semestre at Monash University Melbourne, which keeps me busy both studying and travelling...! :) Currently I'm back on the road!

Passing an airport has always evoked a feeling of wanting to get into a plane and fly to an unknown destination...!
I've been to a lot of different countries - mainly in Europe - and now I've started to go a little bit further also!
As this was the first trip that really allowed me to "dive" into a different world, because you've got so much time, I've developed a passion to not only meet other travellers - which is of course one beauty of travelling! - but also to meet "locals"... people that can guide you off the main tourist tracks and that can show you the "real" country that you want to visit...
This is my short story about how I ended up @Couchsurfing ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling together with other travellers is of course one beautiful aspect of travelling and something that certainly broadens your horizon... However, sometimes I'd love to know more about the "real" place... I love to meet local people that can share their experiences and their view, that can guide you off the touristy MUST-DOs and that can show you places that you probably would have never discovered without their help ;)
Apart from that:
Isn't it nice to make friends all over the world? People that might come back to your place one day ;)

I‘ve not only been welcomed by lovely hosts in different countries so far, but I could also offer my home to travellers since I have returned to Germany, and I‘ll continue to do so whenever I have the possibility to host someone. Some of the people that I have met along my way have grown to become good friends of mine, and still are, which makes me happy and thankful for the experience I got through Couchsurfing.

Interests

One thing that always accompanies me is my Nikon camera... Especially in the last years I've developed a passion for photography! New in my cinemativ repertoire is my drone, which is hopefully going to get me some amazing aerial views! Apart from that I love a variety of sports: France and Australia have led to a love for surfing! I play basketball and love to join all types of team games ;) Recently I started tennis. I have a great interest in music, I listen according to what I like (not exclusively a certain genre!) and I've played the piano for a looong time now. 🎹😉 In the last years I've more and more engaged in DJing and music production too. Love it!

In your request please name me your favourite song you‘re into at the moment!🎶 - so I know you‘ve at least read my profile until this sentence ☺️ If you don‘t have a favourite song, you can take your all-time favourite movie as well. But please don‘t leave that out, otherwise I might loose track of what‘s being released out there, and furthermore I might need to decline you in case I have the feeling you requested without even having tried to get to know your host ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

As I said... I wouldn't try to limit that to a certain genre or artist ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Puuh, good question... probably we'll come across a few things while having a good conversation...
Meanwhile I'll think about it, promise ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you a little bit of piano, maybe? ;)
... or explain things like exposure and all of that photo stuff to you :D

Although I try to cook a lot, I think my mental recipe book could could still be filled with more and I'd be keen to learn a few new recipes from you!
Or I could cook you my five star signature dish: Risotto with an amazing Avocado and Tomato topping!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good humour, love to have a good conversation, pictures from my travels and hopefully a lot of fun! ;-)
