I am a filmmaker by profession and do photography more as a hobby. I was born in Northeast part of India and I am currently working and residing in Bangalore, Southern India for the past 18 years. As a person, I am simple, friendly and fun-loving. I am a creative person who is optimistic about life. I love traveling because it gives me ample opportunities to explore new places, meet new people and learn their cultures.

I am a newbie for couch-surfing. I am using it for the first time. Since I visited Czech Republic last year in 2017 for a film festival, I have been fascinated by Slavic and Eastern European culture. I have learnt to read Cyrillic Alphabets and learning few words in Russian language, although my knowledge of Russian language is very limited. So deciding to travel to Russia this year for 3 weeks in the month of Oct 2018. The purpose of my traveling is meeting, interacting with the locals of that country, learning and experiencing their cultures and making new friends. I hope couch-surfing experiences would help.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, traveling is more about the people you meet than the places you see. So meeting the local people, enjoying their delicacies and seeing the new place through their eyes is what really excites me. Couchsurfing provides a wonderful opportunity to meet the local host, enjoy their hospitality, learn their cultures and food. And also that I am a filmmaker, it gives me ample opportunities to film and tell beautiful stories of the local people where I am visiting.

I am sorry to inform that currently I am not in a position to host as I am staying in a bachelor single room apartment as it will be hard to accommodate anyone because of lack of facilities that a traveler may be seeking for while traveling. But I can show you around the city of Bangalore during my weekend holidays on Saturday & Sunday. During my weekdays, I am usually busy with my office work as I am involved in video production job.
