Overview
About Me
I am Maryland native who is in the process of relocating to Tennessee. I am a writer, a world-traveler with perpetual wander-lust, and an easy going guy. I am especially good at interacting with children as I have a 5-year-old son of my own and have been a full-time teacher for seven years. I recently spent 3 years teaching English in South Korea, so I am also fluent in speaking Korean.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy traveling and meeting people from all walks of life. Right now as I make the move to Tennessee I need some floor-space or a couch to crash on until I can find a place of my own. I will be happy to host others once I am established in the Nashville area.
Interests
I enjoy gritty indie or foreign films. I especially love Danish cinema and British TV shows. I am currently writing a science fiction novel about a skeptic who explores the so-called "afterlife" using drug-induced psycho-states. I am also a musician. I compose music on my digital piano on Garage Band. I enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors. I also like mentoring children and high-risk youth and getting involved with humanitarian work through my church.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The best things in life are handed to you through grace. Getting to spend time with my son is my most amazing accomplishment, and I benefit just as much from it as he does. I have also completed my debut indie rock album called Coming Home. Any musician will tell you that cranking out an album is like birthing a baby.
