I'm an explorer, a rider, an amateur baker and a smiley person. As everyone in Couchsurfing, I am always open to new ideas, like to hear people stories and relate them to their culture, as well as I like to share my own anecdotes.

Right now, I am back at Taiwán to study my masters degree, but I want to seize every chance to keep learning from Taiwan and it’s people no to lose that adventurous spirit in my inner self.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In my last trip, I had some of my best experiences ever using Couchsurfing, I met couchsurfers I´m sure I´m going to meet again. And I'm really looking forward to meet more.

On the other side, as a student I have been learning from books during a long time. Now, based on my last experience, I have decided it's time to change that and learn from the real source of information, people themselves, their experiences and their cities seen throught their eyes... and there's no better way to do it than by Couchsurfing.

For me the best landscapes and tresures every city holds will always be its people. We can be inspired by reading poetry in solitude or by talking to a truck driver while hitchhiking. Never underestimate anyone, every individual is a potential teacher.

Right now, I'm not able to host anyone, but by the time I get back to Ecuador, I'll be pleased to share our whole culture to you

Some of the books that moved during my young years are "Mi planta de naranja lima" by Jose Luis Vasconcelos, "La Milonga", "Fictions" by J. Luis Borges, and "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac. My favorite movies ever are Nebraska, Captain Fantastic and Beast of the Southern Wild.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Once I ran an "easy race", or at least I thought it was going to be easy. Its distance was not longer than 5 or 6 km, the tricky point was thatthere was a 1 km differential in altitude between the starting and finishing line. At the beggining I considered maybe 50 minutes was going to be enough to complete it, but I was incredibly wrong. I did it in almost two hours, exhausted as never before, but really grateful for the experience.

Some less amazing things I've done are jumping off from a couple of cliffs to open waters, spontaneously explore the jungle of Lamma Island while in Hong Kong at midnight and make week-long cycling journeys through unknown roads in Taiwan twice.

I love storytelling so I can share a lot of the history of my country, it’s culture and folklore (traditional cooking is also included). Also, as a big part of my family have been involved with farming, I can share a lot with you about sustainable agriculture or community gardening, if you're interested.

As a child, I was always amazed by the stories my granparents used to tell me and I would really like to share them with you as they did with me. Furthermore, I can prepare a really amazing banana cake (or at least I think so). If you have an oven, we could prepare it and share it togehter.
