About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Global ReGenesis

ABOUT ME

My main interest and mission in life is to reduce or eliminate the use of synthetic chemicals in agriculture, industry and people's personal lives. I search for environmentally friendly alternatives and make them available to relevant decision makers. I love music and play more for my own personal enjoyment than in a performance sense.

PHILOSOPHY

My religion and philosophy is being present in the now and taking care of this beautiful earth that gives us everything we need to live and asks for so little in return. I embrace any philosophy that encourages living in the here and now, I am not big on transcendence - the physical world is too full of beauty and mystery for me to want to escape or transcend it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite experience was hosting a young couple from Spain, a graffiti artist and his German girlfriend, they had such a great sense of humor and introduced us to many new foods. They were staying on our land in a tent under a beautiful oak tree at one point and had to run inside in the middle of a night when a crazy lightning and rain storm came out of nowhere, like something you would see in a movie. We all had a good laugh helping them gather their possessions so nothing would get ruined and getting them settled in safe from the rain.

Interests

So many things interest me, but I try to stay focused so heres a few: Bioremediation, microbiology, sustianability, music, psychology and self improvement, pharmacology, community building, architecture, and the big one, that unites all others: Permaculture

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy or can at least tolerate most styles of music but right now I am really enjoying downtempo electronic music, and am experimenting with composing. I have read more books than I care to count and there are too many good ones to list here, but recently have forsaken leisure reading for anything related to bioremediation, sustainable agriculture, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw (all at once) a sunset, lightning storm, and several rainbows over a huge vineyard I lived next to.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I am interested in a subject I usually learn enough about it to be considered an expert - anything I have learned in life I learned from someone or something else so I am happy to share - people started telling me I was wise beyond my years before I even understood what that meant so I guess anyone whos open to it could benefit from interacting with me - I try to learn from everyone I interact with, and usually do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I am staying for more than a night I will probably give you some tips about your land or garden whether you ask for them or not. More than willing to share good food, conversation, and anything I can offer to make my stay a good one for you.
