Hello everyone!

My name is Daniel, I´m 26 years old and currently live in a very very small village in Upper Austria (still very beautiful and reccomendable 😉)

Where I live it's all nature, woods, mountains and stuff and pretty little tourism... so if you ever look for an alternative trip to Austria with a lot of local places and genuine trips let me know 😎

I´m always thrilled to meet new people and therefore I´ve hosted around 50 people in the previous years from all over the world... and I would never want to miss these experiences!

More about myself: I´m PE teacher and what a surprise... I love sports :) Pretty much all of it, so I do a wide range from hiking, to biking, dancing, tennis,... everything that´s fun and keeps me active! Besides, I play the keyboard in a little band which is also great fun!

I would describe myself as a very open and comunicative person who loves to be with awesome people, especially to share some nice life and travel stories! If you trust the word of my friends I´m also kinda funny haha 😜 No honestly nothing better than a good laugh with good friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I started Couchsurfing I thought it would be fun to get to know some new people all over the world and so it was! Throughout the years I´ve had the chance to meet so many cool people and hear so many fantastic stories form travelers all over the globe stopping by in Vienna for a couple of days...

The idea of free hospitality is simply wonderful and one I would like to share as well as best as I can, although currently it´s a bit tricky to offer a sleeping place as well... It also brings the world together which is a very important idea as we very often see especially in times where often there is prejudice and wrong ideas about other cultures and people form other parts of the world... So I basically love the spirit of this platform and I´m happy to share this spirit with everyone who is like minded!

Interests

Well... the list is already long enough isn´t it ?! Haha :) If you want to know some more just write me! Basically I like activities where I´m active and can make some experience, also if it´s just a little one. I love to be outside, especially in the mountains! That´s why I feel really honored to be surrounded by the majestic landscape of the Alps...

Also languages is a great passion of myself which I can express in my job as an Italian teacher (currently not employed as such but still it´s my career plan ;) I´m also interested in learning something new, also from languages totally new to me!

And finally music plays a big role in my life as we got a little band project which is great fun! It´s not that big and we do it more for our friends than in public but still we have a good time jamming together :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Basically Rock music... not that much into heavy metal stuff, just pure, classic or modern rock! Also Latin music is very cool especially at parties... That´s also because I like dancing very much and did some Salsa courses. Great vibes!

Films is hard to tell as there are so much! Same for books, I love reading! At the moment I prefer books where I learn something about the word rather than novels... I´m always curious about understanding the world I live in more and more... and there´s always something to discover!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on Erasmus to Sicily for half a year... truly an amazing semester, met so many people, created so many memories... I can only recommend this to everybody to go abroad for a certain period of time... it will certainly improve your life on various levels! :)
